Tomatin

For decades the Tomatin Distillery has been a low profile distillery from the Highlands which mainly produced for premium blends. Nowadays Tomatin is also well respected as a single malt whisky with a devoted group of aficionados and with all the major international awards in their trophy cabinet.

The MO ÒR Tomatin is 34 year old whisky distilled on the 31st of December in 1976, which is a rarity by itself, but it’s the lovable, ever developing nose and taste which really makes it a worthy addition to the MO ÒR Collection.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Overwhelming sherry notes, but refined hints of fruit develop over time. Especially ripe banana. Also a drop of shoe polish present.

Taste: Garden herbs and liqourice too. Sweet tones of melon in the background. Has a lovely creamy feel to it.

Finish: Remains creamy for a long time. Very rich finish but a certain freshness on top of it.
