Glenlivet

The Glenlivet Distillery is one of the oldest in the Speyside and was established in 1824. Sitting in the Glen of the same name, and taking its water from the river Livet which feeds into the Spey, Glenlivet has been producing quality single malt since ages. As the best selling Scotch in the United States, Glenlivet enjoys a huge support for its whisky. Almost half of the whisky bottled as single malt is sold in the USA.

The MO ÒR Glenlivet from 1977 slept 33 years in a bourbon hogshead barrel, which is 7 years longer than the oldest whisky in the official range. A polished and well-rounded dram with complexity that reveals exceptional craftsmanship.

Tasting Notes

Nose: A very versatile dram with lots of fruity and floral aromas, but nuts and herbs aswell. Some oak and burnt toast in the background.

Taste: More sweet herbs and spices appear. Mixed nuts and pastry too. Peanuts and walnuts.

Finish: Creamy, long finish with a pleasant dryness.
